KBB Show – Birmingham NEC Arena 2018

March 12, 2018 4:38 pm

Despite the adverse weather, we made our way down from Lincoln to the NEC Arena in Birmingham for this years KBB – showcasing the latest trends the industry has to offer. This years show had displays from our trusted suppliers in Nobilia, Silestone, Blanco and Liebherr!

Nobilia – As always, Nobilia stand out at trade shows amongst the other German kitchen manufacturers. The quality of finishes and the extensive ranges they have on show are second to none.(We did sneakily look around other suppliers and this only cements this!). A few photos at the side show what they have to offer. Also, a link to their website provides an in depth look at all aspects of their business, from manufacturing to the different ranges they have – www.nobilia.de/en

Cosentino – Without a doubt our favourite manufacturer of kitchen worktops. Based in Spain, they produce both Silestone and Dekton which are fabulous solid surfaces. The standouts for us are the Dekton Trillium, we love this earthy, rustic texture, along with the new Xgloss range. If you’re looking for some Kitchen worktop Inspiration and If you haven’t already, i’d recommend checking out their website: www.cosentino.com

Blanco – It says a lot about a company when they stick to what they do best. Blanco have been in the game for almost 100 years and they are one of the market leaders in Sinks and Taps, for good reason. It may seem hard to get to excited about this part of a kitchen, however, choosing the right sink and tap combination can really accentuate the style of kitchen you are going for. Under-mounted Silgranit sinks with a sleek modern mixer like the BlancoCulina S is a winner in any modern kitchen setting.

Liebherr – Another company with a specific ‘niche’ in the kitchen market, Liebherr specialise in refrigeration (although as a brand this only makes up a small percentage of what they do!). Having seen a selection of their wine coolers at the show, the technology they have in them is mind boggling. For example, an air purifier fitted into the cooler which changes the air to stop the wine being contaminated by cooking smells from the kitchen. Certainly one to consider for any wine connoisseurs that have many expensive bottles in stock.

Overall, a worthwhile trip down. Particularly sweetened by the complimentary Prosecco we received. ’till next year KBB!
